The Colosseum is an incredible structure that transports you back in time to the Roman Empire’s past. Your friendly and professional English-speaking guide will explore the mysteries of the games held there and share the fascinating stories of the famous gladiators who thrilled the crowds. Before Rome became a city, it was a cluster of seven separate villages built upon the seven hills of Rome. At the center was Palatine Hill, the perfect spot for Emperor Romulus to found Rome nearly three thousand years ago. The tour concludes at the Roman Forum, the beating heart of Ancient Rome, where you can walk in the Emperors’ footsteps and marvel at the views over the Imperial Forum. After the tour, you’re free to continue exploring the Forum or head off to enjoy local food and drink. The route covers about 2 kilometres and is conducted at a leisurely pace suitable for all.
